Certified Training Programs

NAHETS has three member schools that offer intensive training programs with certification in basic heavy equipment operation. The heavy equipment construction jobsite and safety instruction is aimed at creating adequately prepared and qualified workers.

The training is approved for Veteran’s Benefits and includes three, three-week courses at each member school location, including: Atlanta, Georgia; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Stockton, California. Each school uses both classroom and field instruction to execute its curriculum.

Upon completion, students are prepared for a career as entry level heavy equipment operators and they receive national certification from the Adaptive Equipment Proficiency Testing (ADEPT) program, which is a comprehensive and reliable assessment of the essential skills necessary for heavy equipment proficiency.
