Education Portion of CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPA Shows Set All-Time Attendance Records

Las Vegas is the site of what we like to call the “Super Bowl” of the construction and heavy equipment industry, and in 2014, a record number attended the educational platforms during the shows. The CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE shows are an international phenomenon and in 2014 the combined shows broke several participation records.

CONEXPO 3.16.14The CONEXPO-CON/AGG education program covered 120 sessions over 10 targeted tracks. The IFPE Technical Conference anchored IFPE 2014 education, and included half-day “college-level courses” and a new Fluid Power Seminar series, from Hydraulics & Pneumatics Magazine. The record-setting attendance underscored the value that companies are placing on training and education.

The total registration of 129,364 soared past the previous editions of the shows as organizers achieved the second-highest attendance in their history. CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE were both held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and each show delivered a global showcase of the newest product innovations and technologies for the construction, construction materials and fluid power/power transmission/motion control industries with more than 1,000 new products and services on display.

In addition to bursting the education attendance records, both shows also set new records for exhibit space and number of exhibitors. CONEXPO-CON/AGG had more than 2.35 million net square feet of exhibit space and more than 2,000 exhibitors, while IFPE had more than 161,000 net square feet and 400 exhibitors.

“CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE 2014 reflected the feeling of momentum building in the industry. We are industry-run shows with industry needs put first; these show numbers are a testament to the value attendees, exhibitors, and other stakeholders derive from their participation,” stated Melissa Magestro, IFPE show director.

NAHETS offers the best in heavy equipment training and we released new information about our ADEPT training system during the week. Our focus at CONEXPO-CON/AGG was to bring exposure to our Trainer ToolKit and Train the Trainer Program.
